Update: Amerimax Vs Anlin!
To update our readers on the major shake up in the high end window manufacturers Amerimax vs Anlin. This all started a long time ago in 2009 and just was completed 2019. Amerimax filed suit because Anlin hired a lot of Amerimax’s employees. The suit alleges that Anlin stole trade secrets, customer info and how they do business to gain an unfair advantage. Anlin counter sued and had it’s counter claims dismissed.
In doing research for this article we spoke to several Anlin dealers who had no knowledge of this big court case, but interesting enough they all claim that Anlin has raised prices 3 to 4 times in the past couple of years. So if you purchase Anlin product you might just be paying for the court case they lost to Amerimax. We compared both windows and they are look almost the same and both seem like good high end product receiving a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. You can’t go wrong with either product but buyer beware if you choose Anlin you will be paying for the costs of the law suit!!!

It was been brought to our attention that there are a few companies out there selling higher end windows like Milgard and other at prices that are way less than all of the competitors. How are they able to do that? Milgard sets prices for all the dealers. We have learned how and it’s a dirty trick and one of the oldest in the book. It’s called the old bait and switch. So be sure to check your labels and make sure the correct manufacturer label is on the windows. Contact the manufacturer as well.
